L’Ordre de Jacques-Cartier, a.k.a. “La Patente” was a national secret society founded in 1926 in Vanier by Albert Ménard, civil engineer at Public Works Ministry, and Priest François-Xavier Barrette of St-Charles Parish.  The Order had more than 11 300 members.  Dissolved in 1965.  Podcast by Éric Barrette, second generation nephew of Pastor Barrette.
