Red Dress Day: Honouring Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls

May 5, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM

282 Dupuis Street, Vanier ON, Carré de la Francophone de Vanier Square (outdoor event)

#12 Bus is accessible and a short walk to the event area.

  • Opening prayers by Elder Louella Tobias with smudging available
  • Guest Speakers including Indigenous Honouring  Drumming Spirit Wolf Singers and Indigenous Honouring Dancers Amanda Fox and Randy Kakegamick
  • Complimentary light dinner and beverages including bannock and wild rice salad by Charleen Lockyer

All are welcome to wear their Ribbon Skirts and Red dresses, scarves, etc. Please bring your drums.

Please also bring your own water and lawn chairs or blanket as seating is limited.

The event will also offer gift draws, resource information tables and a “Design your own Red Dress” activity.

This is a drug and alcohol free event. We look forward to hosting you. See you soon.
