53 of our neighbours were displaced during a devastating fire on the evening of Feb 21st 2023 on Presland street. At this point, we know that they’ve lost their homes and all of their belongings.
Between 2014 and 2017, the number of homeless families in Ottawa increased by 171%. Their average stay in emergency shelters increased from 105 to 123 days.
