I'm supporting the rebuilding of hte Vanier Sugar Shack

Online Local Art Sale

This project allows artists from the Ottawa/Gatineau regions to put their artwork up for sale, as well as raising funds for the reconstruction of a new Sugar Shack. Each piece will be sold for the set price of $200. $150 will go to the artist and $50 to the Sugar Shack fund. This year, sales will be open until December 16th, 2021.

The Museopark is looking for Ottawa region visual artists

In December 2021, the Vanier Museopark is organizing a local art sale in the temporary exhibition gallery.

This project’s goal is to showcase regional artists who wish to put their artwork up for sale as well as helping to raise funds for the reconstruction of the Vanier Sugar Shack as
well as for our non-for-profit community museum.

The artwork must be brought to the Museopark by the artist (300 des Pères Blancs avenue – 2nd floor of the Richelieu Vanier Centre – Ottawa ON K1L 7L5) before
October 29th 2021.

At every point in Vanier’s history, its residents have been at the forefront of change. Let’s prepare for our future together. To do so, the Vanier Community Association invites residents to play an important and active role in redefining our cultural landscape. Join us and share your ideas and dreams for our community. Your comments will be gathered and used to develop the Vanier Cultural Strategy. Join us on May 25th, June 15th, and June 29th from 6 to 8 p.m. to discuss, dream and propose your ideas. Your comments will be gathered and will result in a new Vanier Culture Plan.

An invitation to join The Butterflyway Project : Please join us Monday, April 19 at 7:00 P.M. via Zoom

The VCA’s Beautification, Parks and Recreation Committee is participating in The Butterflyway Project with the Suzuki Foundation. Lisa Medd is working hard to create a Pollinator Garden in Riverain Park. As part of this project, we encourage gardeners in our community to plant pollinator flowers and plants that will particularly attract the Monarch Butterfly and other pollinator insects. Please help us save the Monarch butterfly and bees.
